MISSION Our mission is to guide our patients and athletes to a higher functional level in the least amount of time and to create sports conditioning and rehabilitation programming specifically designed to promote peak physical performance through:
TREATMENT and REHABILITATION PHILOSOPHY Treatment regimens are individualized based on diagnosis, individual goals and individual limitations; no two individuals are treated exactly the same because no two individuals are the same. Pain reduction and inflammation control We use modalities such as ice, moist heat, ultrasound, TENS, and interferential electrical stimulation to gain control over pain, muscle spasms, or swelling associated with the injury. Restore joint mobility and tissue mobility During the second phase of the rehabilitation process, we employ manual therapy techniques of massage, joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, self-stretching, and other techniques to restore range of motion and flexibility to the affected areas. Strength training for core function We believe in beginning strength training to the affected area only after adequate range of motion is restored. The supporting structural stabilizers in the affected region are targeted first and foremost, which lays the groundwork for a strong foundation leading to functional strength training. Strength training and sport specific conditioning for return to competition With restored joint mobility and a strong foundation of core stabilizers, the athlete will be ready to begin a safe and appropriate strength training and/or sport specific conditioning routine. This will enable the individual to achieve a quicker, more prepared return to functional active lifestyle and/ or competition.
